GENESIS 13:2, 5-18; PSALM 15; MATTHEW 7:26, 12-14
Dispute broke out between the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock and those of Lot’s because the land was not sufficient to accommodate both of them. Rather than fight over things they settled themselves amicably. We can actually settle issues amicably. Jesus says in the Gospel, “Treat others as you would like them to treat you”. Oftentimes we pride ourselves over nothing. Like Abram and Lot we must learn to treat one another well and settle dispute amicably.
LET US PRAY
Grant, O Lord, that we may always revere and love your holy name for you never deprive of your guidance those you set firm on the foundation of your love. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.
