Matt. 4:19-20

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”  At once they left their nets and followed him.”

Jesus said “follow me” thirteen times in the Gospels. Every disciple must follow his master. Jesus said “follow me”. To follow him means to imitate him. It is a call to discipleship. A disciple is one whom the Lord has called to stay with him, to follow him, and to become a missionary of the Gospel. As disciples, let us stay with him and follow him and witnessing shall be our life style. When we stay with him he revives our souls. If we follow  him we shall not wallow. Many Christians are wallowing about because they have not decided to follow Jesus. Many Christians today  follow pastors. If we follow Jesus we shall get to heaven but when we follow pastors we go nowhere. IF you follow Jesus you shall be rewarded. God bless you!

6 Intercessory Prayers:

My Father and my God as I decide to follow you today lead me to still waters and restore my soul.

My Father and my God keep me far from the distractions that want to alter my direction towards heaven.

Father of mercy, guide my steps in the ways of light and peace. Give me strength to overcome evil plans against my life and family.

  1. Memory verse: Ps. 23:6

Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
