Hebrews 12:4-7, 11-15; Psalm 103; Mark 6:1-6
“The Lord disciplines him whom he loves.” discipline is the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behaviour, using punishment to correct disobedience. Punishment is not meant to destroy but to make people better. The indiscipline of Jesus’ neighbours was expressed in the way they ignored him. Often times our approach towards Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament mirrors traits of indiscipline and sacramental abuses. Beloved , we must learn to be disciplined. Discipline is the key to greatness and success!
Let us pray
Father, give us the grace to follow you. Strengthen us by your divine spirit to overcome the works of darkness and unhealthy familiarity with you sacred presence. Father, give us the spirit of self control that we may have dominion over our distractions. Amen.
