Topic: You must be determined

Nehemiah 6:2

Sanballat and Geshem sent me this message: “Come, let us meet together in one of the villages on the plain of Ono.” But they were scheming to harm me.

Beloved, if we must rebuild our broken walls today the fifth thing we must do is that ‘We must be determined

You must be determined: These people were dedicated to do what God called them to do – protect their hometown. They could not be sidetracked by attacks from without or from within. They had to be a people with “a mind to work!” When trouble arises, there must be a determination greater than any opposition. As they rebuilt the wall, they were ridiculed and mocked. Their enemies did everything possible to discourage them. They threatened to tell untrue stories about Nehemiah. Nehemiah listened but persisted. Nehemiah knew he was “doing a great work” (6:3) and could not come down from the wall to debate with the enemies. Nehemiah persisted even when adversity came. God’s people cannot give up when adversity comes. You will be ridiculed if after this gathering you choose to be upright and sincere in the office. Jesus was ridiculed and mocked on the cross, he was told you save others now save yourself. The cross is a symbol of mockery do not be discourage when this things begin to happen.  Matt. 5:11 blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad because your reward is great in heaven, for they persecuted the prophets before you in the same way. Heb.10:35 so do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.

Lord Jesus I pray for your spirit to come and lift me up that I will not give to the forces of oppositions.

Lord God you said you will not abandon us to the domain of darkness. As many that are opposing our success and breakthrough. Lord God the battle is yours in Jesus name.

I pray against the spirit of deception. Lord God help me not to honour the invitation of the wicked in the name of Jesus.

In the power and authority that you have given me, I say to all addictions, perversions, chemical dependencies, hopelessness, worry, doubt, fear, despair and all symptoms of any such illness that you must submit to the name of Jesus.

I cast down every argument and proud obstacle that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Thank you heavenly father for all your protection and provisions, for yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, now and forevermore. Amen.

Lord, I thank You Lord for motivation, determination, compassion and Your divine nature, Amen. Righteous God, Your Word says that hard work reaps profit and reward, whereas talk leads only to poverty. I pray that I do not remain passive, but You will give me your divine strength, Amen
