LAM. 2:2, 10-14, 18-19; PSALM 74; MATTHEW 8:5-17🗣🔥🔥🔥
The first reading presents us with the lamentation of the people for the devastation, captivity and destruction they went through because of their sins. Precisely because of this, the psalm of today cries out in prayer for national deliverance. We too who are in spiritual exile, facing devastation and affliction are to cry out for deliverance. This desire for deliverance led the centurion to Jesus in the gospel, asking him to restore is paralyzed servant. Beside this, the centurion expressed great faith in Jesus and humility in character. Before God, faith is an irresistible fragrance; while humility attract his pardon. If we must experience deliverance; we must have faith and make serious and positive adjustments in our behavior. Lord keep us true.
PRAYER FOR RESTORATION
Oh Lord, restore my wasted years, Lord, restore my wasted efforts, money, health, strength and blessings, I remove from my life every barrier to my breakthroughs. In Jer.34:26 your word says you will restore their fortunes and have compassion on them. Therefore, oh Lord have mercy on me and restore my destiny through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Cast me not away from Thy presence, oh Lord
And take not Thy holy spirit from me
Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation
And renew a right spirit within me
